1. Peel back the floor carpet under the front left seat, disconnect the fuel tank wire connector, and pass the grommet through the floor.
   

1. Remove the 2 clips and 4 nuts.
   

2. Disengage the claw and remove the No. 1 fuel tank protector.
   

1. Separate the No. 1 charcoal canister outlet hose.
   

1. Insert a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape in the quick connector cutout as shown in the illustration, push the quick connector lock forward, and disconnect the breather tube.
   

   NOTICE:

   1. Check for dirt or other foreign matter on the parts to be disconnected and clean them if necessary.
      
   2. The quick connector seals with an O-ring. Ensure that there is no damage or foreign matter on the contact surface.
      
   3. Do not use any tools.
      
   4. Do not bend or twist the tubes.
      
   5. Protect the contact surface by covering it with a plastic bag.
      
   6. If the connector is stuck, push and pull on the parts to separate them.
      

2. Insert a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape in the quick connector cutout as shown in the illustration, push the quick connector lock forward, and disconnect the inlet tube.
   

   NOTICE:

   1. Check for dirt or other foreign matter on the parts to be disconnected and clean them if necessary.
      
   2. The quick connector seals with an O-ring. Ensure that there is no damage or foreign matter on the contact surface.
      
   3. Do not use any tools.
      
   4. Do not bend or twist the tubes.
      
   5. Protect the contact surface by covering it with a plastic bag.
      
   6. If the connector is stuck, push and pull on the parts to separate them.
      

1. Drain the fuel from the inlet tube installation position.
   

1. Release the checker as shown in the illustration.
   

2. Pinch the retainer to release it as shown in the illustration, and then disconnect the fuel tank main tube.
   

   NOTICE:

   1. Check for dirt or other foreign matter on the parts to be disconnected and clean them if necessary.
      
   2. The quick connector seals with an O-ring. Ensure that there is no damage or foreign matter on the contact surface.
      
   3. Do not use any tools.
      
   4. Do not bend or twist the tubes.
      
   5. Protect the contact surface by covering it with a plastic bag.
      
   6. If the connector is stuck, push and pull on the parts to separate them.
      

1. Disconnect the fuel return tube assembly.
   

1. Using an engine lifter, support the fuel tank.
   

2. Remove the 4 bolts and the fuel tank.
   

   NOTICE:

   Make sure that the fuel tank does not fall.

1. Remove the No. 1 fuel tank cushions and No. 2 fuel tank cushions.

1. Widen the tip of the tube joint clip and pull out the clip in the direction indicated by the arrow.
   

2. Pull the fuel tank main tube off of the fuel suction tube assembly to disconnect it.
   

   NOTICE:

   1. Check for dirt or other foreign matter on the parts to be disconnected and clean them if necessary.
      
   2. The fuel tube connector seals with an O-ring. Ensure that there is no damage or foreign matter on the contact surface.
      
   3. Do not use any tools.
      
   4. Do not bend or twist the tubes.
      
   5. Protect the contact surface by covering it with a plastic bag.
      
   6. If the connector is stuck, push and pull on the parts to separate them.
      

3. Disengage the clamp and remove the fuel tank main tube from the fuel tank.
   

1. Widen the tip of the tube joint clip and pull out the clip in the direction indicated by the arrow.
   

2. Pull the fuel tank return tube off of the fuel suction tube assembly to disconnect it.
   

   NOTICE:

   1. Check for dirt or other foreign matter on the parts to be disconnected and clean them if necessary.
      
   2. The fuel tube connector seals with an O-ring. Ensure that there is no damage or foreign matter on the contact surface.
      
   3. Do not use any tools.
      
   4. Do not bend or twist the tubes.
      
   5. Protect the contact surface by covering it with a plastic bag.
      
   6. If the connector is stuck, push and pull on the parts to separate them.
      

3. Disengage the clamp and remove the fuel tank return tube from the fuel tank.
   

1. Disconnect the fuel tank wire connector from the fuel tank vent tube assembly.
   

2. Disengage the 3 clamps and remove the fuel tank wire from the fuel tank.
   

3. Remove the fuel hose clamp from the fuel tank wire.
   

1. Remove the No. 1 charcoal canister outlet hose from the fuel tank vent tube assembly.
   

2. Disengage the clamp and remove the No. 1 charcoal canister outlet hose.
   

1. Release the retainer as shown in the illustration and disconnect the No. 1 fuel evaporation tube from the fuel suction tube and fuel tank vent tube assemblies.
   

   NOTICE:

   1. Check for dirt or other foreign matter on the parts to be disconnected and clean them if necessary.
      
   2. The quick connector seals with an O-ring. Ensure that there is no damage or foreign matter on the contact surface.
      
   3. Do not use any tools.
      
   4. Do not bend or twist the tubes.
      
   5. Protect the contact surface by covering it with a plastic bag.
      
   6. If the connector is stuck, push and pull on the parts to separate them.
      

2. Disengage the 3 clamps and remove the No. 1 fuel evaporation tube from the fuel tank.
   

1. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, set SST to the fuel pump gauge retainer.

   HINT:

   Align the ribs of the fuel pump gauge retainer with the tips of SST.

2. Using SST, loosen the fuel pump gauge retainer.

   NOTICE:

   Do not use any tools other than SST.

   HINT:

   Align the ribs of the fuel pump gauge retainer with the tips of SST.

3. Remove the fuel pump gauge retainer while holding the fuel tank vent tube assembly by hand.
   

NOTICE:

Do not disconnect the tube shown in the illustration.

1. Rotate the fuel tank vent tube assembly toward the inside of the tank, and remove it in the opposite direction to the arrows for insertion of the fuel tank sender gauge.

2. Disengage the 2 claws of the fuel tank vent tube, disconnect the fuel tank vent tube, and remove the fuel tank vent tube assembly.
   

1. Remove the gasket from the fuel tank.
   

1. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, set SST to the fuel pump gauge retainer.

   HINT:

   Align the ribs of the fuel pump gauge retainer with the tips of SST.

2. Using SST, loosen the fuel pump gauge retainer.

   Do not use any tools other than SST.

   HINT:

   Align the ribs of the fuel pump gauge retainer with the tips of SST.

3. Remove the fuel pump gauge retainer while holding the fuel suction tube assembly by hand.
   

1. Remove the fuel suction tube assembly from the fuel tank.
   

   NOTICE:

   Do not disconnect the tube shown in the illustration.

2. Pinch the fuel tank vent tube retainer to release it as shown in the illustration, disconnect the fuel tank vent tube, and then remove fuel suction tube assembly.
   

1. Remove the gasket from the fuel tank.
   

1. Pull the fuel tank vent tube out of the fuel tank.
   

1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 evaporation vent tube clamp from the fuel tank.
